Grounded Pilot's Ideas Take Flight
Grooveit was created by Clint Sanderson, a medical helicopter pilot and lifelong golfer who wanted a cleaner, smarter way to keep club grooves performing properly.
After double knee surgery temporarily grounded him from flying, Clint used the downtime to solve a problem he had noticed for years: traditional spit-and-wire-brush club cleaning was messy, rough on equipment, and not nearly good enough.
The challenge was simple to describe and hard to solve: create a golf brush that could carry and dispense liquid without leaking inside a golf bag, stay close at hand during a round, and still be tough enough for regular use.
Early prototypes were made from travel containers and cleaning brushes. Clint later worked with ProImage 3D to refine the design through several prototypes, including the version he presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in 2016. The feedback from that event helped shape the final product.
By 2017, the Grooveit Wet Club Scrub was ready for production: a refillable, magnetic, heavy-duty club cleaner made for golfers who care about clean grooves, control, and consistency.
